Letter of Acceptance (LOA)
Once you receive an offer and accept admission, your Designated Learning Institution (DLI) issues a Letter of Acceptance (LOA). This official document is mandatory for submitting your Canadian Study Permit application.
Financial Documentation
Prepare all required financial documents, including bank statements, Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) (if applicable), education loan sanction letters, sponsor declarations, and proof of income. You must demonstrate sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs as required by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Study Permit Application
Complete your Canadian Study Permit application online through IRCC. Submit your Letter of Acceptance (LOA), financial documents, passport, biometrics, medical examination (if required), and all supporting documents to ensure a complete application.
Decision & Study Permit Approval
After biometrics and document verification, IRCC will assess your application. Most applications are processed within 4–10 weeks, depending on the applicant's country and application volume. Upon approval, you will receive a Port of Entry (POE) Letter of Introduction and, if applicable, a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
